Prince William will represent the COP30 climate summit in South America in the coming weeks, as announced by the royal household.

Prince William and King Charles appeared together on Thursday evening at a event ahead of the climate summit, which is scheduled to take place in the Amazonian city of Belém.

The King and Prince were participating in the museum gathering, marking an unusual joint appearance at a climate summit preparatory event arranged together with the UK government.

Climate Leadership Commitment

King Charles has been a long-time champion of biodiversity preservation - and Prince William has assumed the responsibility, with his own environmental prize initiative, which will be taking place in South America before the UN meeting.
